Growing up in Colorado Springs, longtime friends Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners – Mitch Cutts, Nic Haughn and Jakob Ervin – were catapulted into the spotlight when their 2017 track ‘Evergreen’ gained widespread recognition online in 2024, with the track reaching platinum certified status in the US, UK and New Zealand and giving the band their first Billboard Hot 100 entry.

Releasing their debut album RMCM in 2017, the band never imagined years later, the impact ‘Evergreen’ would have - becoming the instantly-recognisble folk-rock anthem it is today. The track was re-released earlier this year, ‘Evergreen (feat. Caamp)’, following its huge success, featuring Ohio folk trio, Caamp which further boosted the band’s popularity worldwide.

Fully immersing themselves in the writing and recording process of each project, the band have since produced two follow up albums – Solstice (2018) and Subliming (2019) – both exemplifying passion and dedication to create and perfect their craft.

“With their sweet mixture of indie folk and rock, along with their raw lyrics, these guys from Colorado brought everyone in that room on a personal journey.” – Medium

“Absolutely stunning stuff here from Colorado four-piece Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners…the album is not to be overlooked.” – The Sound Sniffer

“a sophisticated blend of soulful indie, folk and alternative rock influence” – When The Horn Blows

On a trajectory to becoming a household name in folk rock, the global reach of ‘Evergreen’ has seen the band perform across headline shows and festival sets across North America and now heading to Australia for the first time.

No matter what happens next, the friendship and the music go hand-in-hand for Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners.
