M-ONE ANNOUNCE THE LINE UP FOR THE NEW MUSIC STAGE
Coca Cola and Triple M are pleased to announce the final line up for the New Music Stage at the M-One Festival. Along with CrashPalace, Noogie, Another Race and Antiskeptic, you will be able to catch local Sydney bands Porcelain and Louder, with Sneak and Irwin Thomas joining us from Melbourne as well as Brisbane band Palladium (Brisbane only) . Triple M have been keeping an eye out for hot new emerging talent and one of the stand out bands for them was Antiskeptic.
Simon Mumford, Triple M's Music Director said: "We heard the song and thought they had a great future in the Australian Music scene. With the combination of Triple M airplay and performances on the M-One tour we felt this would be the platform they needed to get them to the next level." Louder are a Sydney band that are fast emerging as one of the stand out new acts to hit Australian radio. Runners up in Triple M's Unsigned Find competition that ran in 'The Local' (Triple M's Australian Music show) - this landed them a slot to perform at M-One around the country. Their current single 'Wahoo' is receiving great spins on Triple M.
Sneak were another band that got the attention of Triple M. Their first two singles were featured heavily on 'The Local' and when the new single 'Feel Like I Do' arrived at the station, the vibe on them at Triple M was hot. The single was added to nights and they were given a slot on the M-One New Music Stage. As Simon Mumford says: " This is a really good band and this is a great opportunity for the audience to discover them as well."
The New Music Stage has been put in place to give some of the up and coming Australian bands a chance to perform in front of thousands of people. A line up of 9 bands, who all could be the 'bands of tomorrow '(some of which have only recently released their debut albums), now have the chance to play in front of an expected 100,000 plus crowd across the country.
Guy Dobson, Program Director for the Triple M Network says: "it's our chance to showcase bands like CrashPalace, Noogie etc, who we have supported recently with airplay and bring them to a wider audience using M-One as the live vehicle to do it."
Previously announced main stage artists are 14 of the best live acts in the world...... Garbage, Billy Idol, Goo Goo Dolls, Midnight Oil, Nickelback, Lifehouse, The Whitlams, Default and Simple Plan, people will also be able to check out the Comedy Room, the WWA Wrestling Live and the Globe World Cup Skateboarding Highest Air Challenge.
