Michael Franti is coming back to Australia in early December to play a special bunch of shows in a fully acoustic and intimate setting accompanied by guitarist Dave Shul and beatboxer/rapper RadioActive. 2000's "Stay Human" album was lead out by "Rock the Nation" and has proven to be deep on radio songs like "Oh My God", "Soulshine" and "Sometimes". Whilst "Stay Human" has been Franti's most successful album in Australia by a long country mile, fans are eagerly awaiting the new album which is currently scheduled for release in 2003.
FRANTI'S decision to tour acoustically is in part to emphasise the importance of the messages in the lyrics of his songs and to support his anti-war stance, bring "power to the peaceful" and provoke his audience to embrace "schools not prisons" and "humanism not militarism". His acoustic set will feature songs from "Beatnigs", "Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy" and brand new songs off the upcoming 2003 album. As Michael Franti's ever-growing Australian fanbase would attest, he takes his audiences on an uplifting journey leaving them empowered and enriched.
