THE HOTTEST DOUBLE BILL

TO HIT THEATRES THIS SUMMER

Two of the finest and most enduring adult contemporary artists around – Boz Scaggs and Joan Armatrading – will tour Australia later this year in what is set to be a feast for music lovers.

The tour will be a combination of theatre shows and performances under the "a day on the green" banner at some of the most picturesque wineries around Australia. Both artists will perform full sets with their own bands in a fantastic value-for-money tour.

W ho can ever forget the extraordinary Silk Degrees album and the catchphrase 'Boz is the Buzz '!!. Silk Degrees – with hits like Lowdown, Lido Shuffle, Harbour Lights, What Can I Say and We 're All Alone"– swept all before it to become one of Australia's all time highest selling albums.

Throughout an enduring 30 year musical career, Grammy Award-winning Scaggs has combined rock, jazz, R&B and blues to create a trademark sound. His latest musical venture has put this exceptionally talented composer and musician back firmly into the spotlight. Set for release in Australia on September 8, a new album But Beautiful signals the arrival of an important new voice in the domain of the great American songbook. Called "a stunning collection of jazz standards" by The New York Times, But Beautiful debuted at #1 on the Billboard Jazz charts.

With this foray into jazz, Scaggs continues to prove himself as one of most creative and original artists in the music industry. Rolling Stone raved that the "veteran soul rocker takes on some American pop classics - with extremely classy results," while The Boston Globe recently proclaimed that his latest is "one of the year's best albums of jazz vocals... a thing of shimmering beauty."

Live concerts now feature all the familiar Boz classics with some of the classic jazz from But Beautiful.

Joan Armatrading has always thrilled Australian audiences with her irresistible blend of soul, blues and pop sensibilities – a distinctive mix that is unmistakably Armatrading. Over the course of 17 stunning albums and through hits like Love and Affection, Willow, Drop The Pilot, I Love It When You Call Me Names, Me,Myself I ,Armatrading is one of the most consistently admired voices of the past few decades.

Her new album Lover's Speak – her first in eight years – has received glowing accolades. Armatrading has not only produced and written the album, but also plays almost all of its instruments. "As deep and lovely as her best work" (Q Magazine)," An engaging and occasionally superb return" (Mojo Magazine)

She has played, and still does, with some of the finest musicians around, she has received countless gold, platinum and silver discs. She has been nominated for both Brit and Grammy Awards, been the recipient of a highly coveted Ivor Novello Award, figured large in VH1 's Top 100 voted poll The Most Influential Woman In Rock, been honoured with an MBE by the Queen, has played for Nelson Mandela and most recently received a Doctorate in Music from the University of Birmingham.

Tickets will sell quickly for these shows – and with only one show in each city, make sure you snap your tickets up sooner rather than later!
