Insane Clown Posse is without doubt one of the most successful 'underground' bands of all time and in May this year the Dark Carnival comes to Australia for a limited run of shows.

Insane Clown Posse may be more infamous than famous, more reviled than renowned, but this shock rock band have made quite a mark on musical history and on the lives of the one million+ fans (known as Juggalos) who follow their music and their message.

The story of how Insane Clown Posse have obtained their cult celebrity over the last 10 years is amazing. Their fame was won without massive radio airplay, however their 2 platinum and 5 gold records in the US speak for themselves. They have released a series of five "Jokers' Cards" albums each with its own unique message to the world - with the sixth and final Joker's Card album The Wraith: Shangri-La released last November and debuting at #15 on the Billboard charts.

New single Homies is the most accessible track ICP have recorded – it's a singalong anthem that deals with the ups and downs of friendship and how important your mates or 'homies' can be.

Where some see an underworld of bizarre painted faces jumping to a twisted mesh of rock and soda, others see one of the longest running records in Billboard Top 200 history. Aside from touring, Voilent J and Shaggy 2 Dope have delved into the world of wrestling with stints as professionals in the WWF, their own feature film and a self-owned record Label Psychopathic Records. These wicked clowns are the true superstars of the underground.

Their live show has been described as an insane circus side-show as their violently slapstick rock/rap plays before a background of freaks, goons, creatures and clowns and hundreds of litres of soda streaming from the stage to liberally douse the audience.
