"Producers can find talent and create stars, but they can't fake what is honest and real. Sarah Harmer is both of these things, and that's her gift." Popmatters

The Frontier Touring Company are delighted to confirm the upcoming tour of Canadian songstress Sarah Harmer to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this June.

Audiences can expect to be treated to intimate concerts showcasing material from her recently released album All of Our Names (out now through Shock) and her debut album You Were Here – the album that Rolling Stone Magazine declared "marvelously compelling" and Time voted the best debut CD of 2000.

Critics worldwide are applauding Harmer's new album as the perfect follow-up to her widely acclaimed first album. The Boston Herald wrote; "Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah Harmer would be excused had she amped up the production to make a splashier follow-up. Instead... Harmer emerges with a quietly seductive operetta that reaffirms her depth as a lyricist and showcases the artful restraint of her siren voice. Though other folk-pop artists can sound contrived, Harmer's songs are sincere and intimate, a celebration of understated elegance."

Reviewers have also noted Harmer 's continued development as a live performer. Chartattack wrote of her May 10 Vancouver concert; "Sarah Harmer has hit her stride and watching it live is an absolute pleasure. This wasn't just a good concert, it was contender for event of the year."

Harmer will be joined by Perth new-comers The Hampdens. Named after 'Hampden College' the exclusive university from Donna Tartt's cult novel The Secret History - a bucolic study of the moral corruption of wealth and arrogance, The Hampdens have forged their own cross-roads between soul, electronica, and sixties tinged rock.

Tickets to see Sarah Harmer with The Hampdens go on sale nationally on Friday 28 May.
