THE VERONICAS
TO TOUR AUSTRALIA JUNE 2006
Aussie sensations The Veronicas are heading home this April for their first ever concert tour of Australia!
Identical twins Jess and Lisa Origliasso burst onto the charts in October 2005 with their debut album The Secret Life Of The Veronicas (Warner). The album secured the girls a top five spot and is now approaching triple platinum sales in Australia and remains in the Top Ten ARIA album chart.
Their edgy, tough songs have set them apart from other pop acts with the duo drawing on influences such as AC/DC and Roy Orbison. It’s a formula that attracted the attention of US label Sire Records, securing the girls a coveted US signing and a break into the difficult US market.
Now based in Los Angeles, Lisa and Jess are riding the wave of success, described by Teen Vogue as a band that “People Are Talking About” and as a feature artist on MTV News’ “You Hear It First”, where emerging artists are spotlighted for their potential to hit the big time. Radio stations in the States were so keen on the girls they even put their debut single 4ever on air before its official release date!
The Veronicas have been brushing up their stage experience in the US, recently finishing a US tour with hottie Ryan Cabrera.
Australian audiences can catch The Veronicas live at their all ages shows in Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney, Penrith, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth this April. But before the tour kicks off, Lisa and Jess are joining the huge lineup of superstar artists at the 2006 MTV Australia Video Music Awards performing their new single When It All Falls Apart at the Sydney SuperDome on April 12!
Don’t miss out on tickets to see The Veronicas this April. Tickets aren’t expected to stick around for long!
