It gives The Frontier Touring Company much delight to confirm the highly-anticipated return of British indie darlings, Kaiser Chiefs, to the nation! Already rocking the airwaves with their hit single Ruby, Kaiser Chiefs will take to Australian stages this March to turn up the heat at The Forum in Sydney and the Prince of Wales in Melbourne.
The Chiefs will showcase material from their new album Yours Truly, Angry Mob (due for release in Australia on February 24 through Universal Music) – the brilliant follow-up to 2005’s Employment.
The new album has already caught the attention of influential overseas press. Q Magazine awarded Yours Truly, Angry Mob four stars declaring it “a second album that stretches their creativity while retaining their vim and joie de vivre.
“This is a flag-waving, air-punching, celebratory record made for arenas… This is the sound of a band going for gold with panache… In truth, across these 13 irresistible songs, Britain’s most likeable band can barely put a foot wrong. This is serious fun.”
Whilst Kaiser Chiefs sound great on an album, they sound even better live. In 2005 the band took time out from supporting the Foo Fighters to perform one intimate sold out show in Sydney.
