BY OVERWHELMING DEMAND,
CLOUD CONTROL RETURN IN MARCH FOR ‘MY FEAR’ TOUR
If 2010 were a basketball ring, then Cloud Control have truly slam dunked it, in March 2011 they’re coming back to break the backboard, Shaquille O’Neal style!! With 2 Australian shows, a new single and a limited deluxe re-release of their monolithic ‘Bliss Release’ album.
They’ve been showered with love and praise for their debut album ‘Bliss Release’ and have proven themselves to be one of the hottest bands in the country, nay the world!!
Their check list of achievements has become so long now, we can barely fit it in to one readable document. As such, we’ll just give you some recent highlights.
# Cloud Control are no stranger to awards now, after cleaning up at the AIR Awards last year and being nominated for just about every music award in the country including the ARIA’s and JAward, they have come up Trumps yet again at the coveted SMAC Awards (Sydney Music Arts Culture) taking out BEST ALBUM, BEST LIVE ACT and BEST VIDEO. They have also just been announced as a shortlisted finalist for the big one – THE AMP AWARD. The winner will be announced on March 3rd.
# The people have spoken! Cloud Control came in at an insanely impressive #18 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 list for their track ‘There’s Nothing In The Water We Can’t Fight’.
# Fresh off the back of an extensive Australian Summer Festival run, including Falls and Laneway Festival amongst many others, Cloud Control will be taking no time out from the stage, they will be heading straight back to their new London homes only with enough time to change their socks, before they hit the road for an extensive European tour, hitting as much of the continent as possible.
# Right after that, the band will be making their debut into the USA, swinging via South By Southwest, with dates in New York and LA to follow.
# Then it’s back on a flight to tour the UK once again in preparation for the UK release of their mighty ‘Bliss Release’ album. A release which is accumulating a considerable buzz, with the hugely influential presenter Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1 falling in love with ‘There’s Nothing In The Water We Can’t Fight’. The UK release is slated for mid May.
# Sound pretty busy right? Regardless, by popular and overwhelming demand, the band will be squeezing 2 Australian Dates amongst all the madness to show us, they still love us the most.
# To make it even more special and exciting, the band will be releasing a brand new single ‘My Fear #1’ the prequel to the outstanding ‘My Fear #2’ that appears on Bliss Release.
# We here at Ivy League believe all this action calls for a celebration and as such we’ll be releasing a limited deluxe edition of Bliss Release, including a bonus disc of amazing material, featuring the new single ‘My Fear #1’ as well as bunch of other exclusive and unreleased tracks not to mention a handful of outstanding remixes from the likes of Seekae, Djanimals, Spod, Fishing, Countbounce and more!! The 2CD extravaganza will be in stores March.
