PERFORMING ACROSS AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND IN 2013!

The Frontier Touring Company is thrilled to be bringing the talented, passionate and provocative performer Amanda Palmer and her Grand Theft Orchestra Down Under for a set of shows that are set to tear the house down.

A pioneer of the punk cabaret genre as both a solo artist and one half of The Dresden Dolls, Palmer has introduced the world to a brand of music that’s ‘all whistles and no whimper’ (The Brag).

Palmer’s latest offering Theatre Is Evil (out now through 8ft. Records/Inertia), is her first new studio album in four years and debuted at #10 in the Billboard 200 charts. Working with a full band for the first time: The Grand Theft Orchestra, featuring Michael McQuilken, Chad Raines and Jeherek Bischoff, the album was recorded in Melbourne and takes listeners on a journey into Palmer’s magnificent mind and perfectly honed songwriting craft.

The story of Palmer’s campaign to raise funds for the album’s creation will go down in modern musical history with $1.2 million donated by almost 25,000 generous backers via Kickstarter.

These dedicated fans and backers were far from disappointed with the end result, Theatre Is Evil is a rollercoaster of emotions, laughs and phenomenal storytelling all rolled into fifteen songs:

“Astonishingly brilliant.”
- 5/5 Time Out

“Brilliant… If this doesn’t blow your mind, I don’t know what will.”
- 4.5/5 The Australian

Tracks from Theatre Is Evil will be intertwined with some of Palmer’s much adored classics from previous albums like ‘In My Mind’ and ‘Map of Tasmania’ when she takes the stage for headline performances across Australia and New Zealand next year.

Be quick to grab your tickets for a run of performances that are set to be equal parts burlesque show, punk rock concert and one of the best nights of your life.
