This won’t be the first time that Neon Trees and Taylor Swift have shared a stage however. Taylor recently invited Neon Trees lead singer Tyler Glenn on stage with her during her RED Tour for a special performance of ‘Everybody Talks,” telling the New Jersey audience that she’d “called up one of my favourite lead singers from my favourite band to sing one of my favourite songs.”
Guy Sebastian
One of Australia’s greatest singers and performers Guy Sebastian will join Taylor for all Australian shows on her upcoming Red tour as the special guest.

TAYLOR SWIFT | kicks off Australian leg of RED Tour
Dec 03, 2013Seven-time Grammy winner and reigning Billboard and American Music Awards Artist of the Year Taylor Swift will kick off the Australian leg of her blockbuster The RED Tour tomorrow (Dec. 4th) at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium. Swift is the first female solo artist in twenty years to undertake a national stadium concert tour of Australia, with the last being Madonna’s Girlie Show tour in 1993.
Swift just wrapped a 3-night run of sold-out shows at Auckland’s Vector Arena, earning rave reviews from New Zealand media.
Swift “was confident, energetic, chatty, and all smiles as she basked in the adoration of her fans, as she lead her troupe of dancers and band members through a fluid, colourful 90-minute set that included multi-level staging, impressive feats of engineering, a carousel, music box, flying sparks, and jumbo screens." -- NZ Herald
"She's the classy, fresh-air alternative to the modern day pop diva." -- Stuff.co.nz
"You get to live inside a rainbow of glowsticks, heart-shaped confetti and positive life coaching from Professor Swift. Everything that you need to be happy in life, you can find at a Taylor Swift show." -- coup de main NZ
Taylor Swift’s The RED Tour will include the following Australian dates:
December 4 Sydney, Australia Allianz Stadium
December 7 Brisbane, Australia Suncorp Stadium
December 11 Perth, Australia NIB Stadium
December 14 Melbourne, Australia Etihad Stadium
Already this year, Taylor played to 1.3 million fans in sold-out stadiums and arenas across the U.S. and Canada on her RED Tour. The RED Tour will travel to the UK and Germany in early 2014.
Just last week, Taylor was the big winner of the night the American Music Awards, taking home four trophies, including the evening’s biggest award, Artist of the Year. Taylor is the first artist in history to win AMA Artist of the Year three times. Also last month, Taylor won four CMA Awards, including the prestigious Pinnacle Award. Taylor was profiled as “The Biggest Pop Star In The World” on the cover of the November 25th issue of New York magazine (read the article here: https://www.vulture.com/2013/11/taylor-swift-reigning-queen-of-pop.html).
Taylor’s album RED, released just over a year ago on Big Machine Records, has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide to date, including more than 1.2 million copies in the U.S. in its first week, scoring the highest first-week sales debut of any album in over a decade. Taylor is the only female artist in music history (and just the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album (2012’s RED and 2010’s Speak Now) hit the 1 million first-week sales figure. With RED, Taylor became the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums.
The Australia and New Zealand portion of The RED Tour is produced and promoted by The Frontier Touring Company. The tour sponsors are Coca-Cola, Qantas Airways and Taylor Swift Fragrances. All will bring fun experiences and opportunities to fans at each show.
Taylor will be joined on the Australian leg of her RED Tour by ARIA Award winning artist Guy Sebastian who picked up gongs for 'Best Australian Live Act' and 'Best Pop Release' at the 2013 ARIA Awards on Sunday night. International indie-pop sensations Neon Trees will be opening each concert.?

TAYLOR SWIFT announces third concert at Vector Arena!
Aug 28, 2013The Frontier Touring Company is excited to announce that due to strong fan demand Taylor Swift has added a third concert to her RED Tour in New Zealand this year!
The concerts on Friday 29th and Saturday the 30th November have both sold out, and now a third concert will be held at Vector Arena on Sunday 1st December. Tickets for the third concert go on sale Thursday 5th September from Ticketmaster.
The 7-time GRAMMY winner and reigning Billboard Artist of the Year’s THE RED TOUR performance features two multi-level stages, elaborate costumes, dancers, aerialists and changing sets. In a concert event that provides non-stop action and state of the art technology, Taylor constantly moves around the venue and uses different stages, giving every audience member a great seat. Taylor plays electric guitar, banjo, piano and acoustic guitar and changes costumes 10 times over the course of the evening. Her set features several songs from her record-breaking RED album, as well as new takes on several other fan favourites.
Taylor Swift’s THE RED TOUR is earning universally high praise from top critics:
Rolling Stone -- “Seeing Taylor Swift live in 2013 is seeing a maestro at the top of her or anyone's game. No other pop auteur can touch her right now for emotional excess or musical reach. Red [is] the slickest, smartest and just plain best mega-pop statement of our time. Seeing Taylor onstage now is seeing....total commitment, total fan fervor, total connection between audience and performer. A true arena-rock goddess at an amazing peak.”
The New York Times -- “A king-size spectacle, [whose] juxtapositions have power, one theatrical scene after the next. Taylor Swift off-script is very much like Taylor Swift on-script: not just the brains of the operation, but the brawn, too, the unflappable force that ensures stuck landings. Ms. Swift’s voice is stronger than it’s ever been, and also sturdier….she sang vividly from behind a piano, show[ing] credible dark emotion.”
The Village Voice -- “Taylor Swift was born to entertain. Swift remains genuine….which speaks further to her endless appealing nature as a performer.”
The Miami Herald – “Genuinely powerful. Swift seems to have made an astute transition to her new identity of self-determined young woman. Swift came across as sincere and open in a way that made her the modest but adored mistress of a girl-power mega church.”
The Atlanta Journal Constitution – “She’s supremely gifted…..For two hours T-Swizzle thoroughly charmed, entertained, and connected with the audience.”
Orlando Sentinel -- “Visually and musically, this was Swift’s most accomplished production yet.”
The North American portion of THE RED TOUR is currently playing 66 shows (including 13 stadium stops) in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces spanning 6 months in 2013.
Taylor Swift, who writes all of her own songs, is a seven-time GRAMMY winner, and is the youngest winner in history of the music industry’s highest honor, the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year. She is the only female artist in music history (and just the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album hit the 1 million first-week sales figure, and is the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums. Taylor has an album on Rolling Stone’s prestigious The 50 Greatest Albums of All Time (by women) list, Time magazine has named her one of the 100 Most Influential people in the world, and she is Billboard’s youngest-ever Woman of the Year. Taylor has career record sales in excess of 26 million albums and 75 million song downloads worldwide, and has had singles top both the country and pop radio charts around the globe.

NEON TREES confirmed as special guests for TAYLOR SWIFT's The Red Tour
Jun 21, 2013Taylor Swift has confirmed that US chart toppers Neon Trees will be joining her and Guy Sebastian on the Australian leg of her RED tour and will be the main support for the New Zealand shows.
Neon Trees’ lead single ‘Everybody Talks’ raced to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and became the band’s second platinum single in Australia, charting in the Top 10 here. Fresh from their own sold out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, their announcement on the Taylor Swift tour is sure to delight their many Aussie fans.
Tyler Glenn recently told Australian music site Getmusic that the band were mutual fans of Taylor’s saying, “we’d known that Taylor had been a fan of ours for a few years, we’d always been a fan of hers, we thought she was clever and she covered ‘Animal’ on her tour for the last record, and we were really surprised by that...she said she wanted me to come sing with her [in Newark]…I was so blown away that everyone was so excited that I was a special guest.”
Neon Trees will open Taylor’s stadium shows across Australia, followed by Guy Sebastian and then the headlining lady herself, Taylor Swift.
Notably, Taylor Swift will be the first solo female in twenty years to undertake a national stadium tour of Australia, with the last being Madonna’s Girlie Show tour in 1993, also promoted by Frontier Touring.
Taylor Swift was the big winner at the recent Billboard Music Awards, sweeping the top all-genre categories and taking home eight awards. Taylor won Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist (her second win in this category in three years), Top Female Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album (for RED), Top Country Artist, Top Country Album (for RED), and Top Country Song (for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”).
Released in October of last year, RED has already sold more than 5.8 million copies worldwide, including 1.2 million in the U.S. in its first week of release, music’s biggest first-week sales number in more than a decade. Called “the slickest, smartest and just plain best mega-pop statement of our time” by Rolling Stone, and “sublime….required listening” by Entertainment Weekly, RED set a new worldwide iTunes record for highest ever first-week album sales, and reached #1 on iTunes and national sales charts in 50 countries around the globe.

THE RED TOUR | AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND
SWIFT BECOMES FIRST SOLO FEMALE ARTIST IN 20 YEARS TO HEADLINE STADIUMS ACROSS AUSTRALIA!
The Frontier Touring Company are delighted to announce that 7-time GRAMMY winner and international superstar Taylor Swift is heading down under with her blockbuster THE RED TOUR. The talented singer songwriter today confirmed she will be performing stadium shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, as well as an arena date in Auckland, later this year as the first overseas leg of her acclaimed THE RED TOUR.
Notably, Taylor Swift will be the first solo female in twenty years to undertake a national stadium tour of Australia, with the last being Madonna’s Girlie Show tour in 1993, also promoted by Frontier Touring.
Promoter Michael Gudinski from The Frontier Touring Company said, “I saw the first stadium show of Taylor’s THE RED TOUR and Australia and New Zealand are in for an absolute treat. Taylor Swift is a superstar globally and has repeatedly sold out multiple arenas in both Australia and New Zealand. She has proven herself to be one of the most significant female artists of our time and it is a natural progression to see her take her touring to the next level here, with the confirmation that she will play four massive stadium shows across Australia this summer. It’s been 20 years since Madonna played stadiums for Frontier and I can honestly think of only a tiny handful of solo artists – male or female – who could fill stadium venues today.”
Taylor Swift, currently headlining sold-out stadiums and arenas in North America on her THE RED TOUR, made today’s announcement in response to strong fan demand. Australia and New Zealand are the first international markets outside of the USA to be announced for THE RED TOUR.
The 7-time GRAMMY winner’s THE RED TOUR performance features two multi-level stages, elaborate costumes, dancers, aerialists and changing sets. In a concert event that provides non-stop action and state of the art technology, Taylor constantly moves around the venue and uses different stages, giving every audience member a great seat.
