RUDIMENTAL announce GRMM as special guest for Australian summer tour!
Oct 01, 2015Following the announcement that celebrated UK dance quartet Rudimental will set Australian stages ablaze this summer, Frontier Touring can confirm that Sydney’s very own electronic wunderkind GRMM will join as special guest on all shows.
With over twenty seven thousand followers and six million combined streams on Soundcloud, GRMM has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting recent producers in the Australian electronic landscape. The solo project of Sydney’s Benn Markos, GRMM broke through with the track ‘What You Need’ (out now through Neon Records) that was given the seal of approval by none other than Diplo on his BBC Radio 1 program.
As one of the top 50 most played songs on Triple J for 2014 and climbing to #1 on the iTunes Electronic Chart, his second single is the superb chill-trap powerhouse ‘Electrify’ feat. Father Dude and hails GRMM as an essential artist to watch. He once again collaborated with Father Dude on the genre-hopping triumph “Level Up” that amassed over 800 thousand Soundcloud streams, saw him nominated for Breakthrough Producer of the Year at the Stoney Roads Awards and was named as one of inthemix’s ‘Rising Stars Who Deserve the Hype’.
Having gone from strength to strength with each successive single, GRMM has announced the Die Young EP set for release October 2nd and a planned eventual release in the UK and US. He’s also established himself as a remix maestro by completing edits for The Preatures, Yolanda Be Cool and a reinterpretation of Gorgon City’s Here For You that received heavy rotation on triple J and climbed to the top 5 of the Hype Machine charts.
‘The sound of a producer that's on the rise fast. The drums and the skittering synth in the drop is a highlight.’ – Dom Alessio
After capturing our hearts with their incomparable brand of euphoric electronica on their 2013 Australian tour, Rudimental are set to take us to new heights with a fresh collection of hits from highly anticipated second album We The Generation out tomorrow, Friday October 2nd through Asylum Records. Following first single ‘Never Let You Go’ feat. Foy Vance, Rudimental have teamed up with frequent collaborator Ed Sheeran on the second cut of their sophomore release ‘Lay It All On Me’ that teams Sheeran’s soulful vocals with sun drenched steel drums. The exquisite track looks set to join multi-platinum selling previous singles ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Not Giving In’ as well as that Mercury Prize nominated and BRIT award winning ‘Waiting All Night’ as the summers most inescapable anthem. They’ll also be performing alongside Peking Duck and Sticky Fingers at Vanfest in Forbes, Central NSW on December 4.
Having sold five million singles world-wide and joined by one of our most exciting local talents GRMM as special guest, Rudimental’s November and December tour promises an exhilarating night of non-stop hits. Don’t miss out!

RUDIMENTAL lock in Australian headline shows this November + December
Jul 27, 2015Frontier Touring are thrilled to confirm that UK four-piece Rudimental will return to Australia this November and December for a run of powerhouse headline performances!
This news follows the announcement of the platinum-selling outfit’s keenly awaited sophomore album We The Generation (out 18 September via Asylum Records). Debut album Home was released in 2013 to huge acclaim, reaching #2 on the ARIA album chart and earning Rudimental a Mercury Prize nomination and BRIT Single of the Year Award win for ‘Waiting All Night’ (ft. Ella Eyre).
Both featuring the soulful vocals of crooner John Newman, ‘Feel The Love’ achieved triple-platinum certification and climbed to #3 on the ARIA singles chart while its successor ‘Not Giving In’ was certified double-platinum and became the home game anthem for AFL’s Port Adelaide Power throughout 2014.
We The Generation marks the continued evolution of Rudimental’s blockbuster and soulful sound. Latest single ‘Never Let You Go’ (ft. Foy Vance) perfectly references the euphoric drum and bass anthems of their debut whilst soaring to new heights. The film clip brings the track to life as we travel to multiple cultures in various cities across the planet, invoking themes of unity that suggest how We The Generation is set to take Rudimental’s message global.
The forthcoming album also includes the smash hit Ed Sheeran collaboration ‘Bloodstream’ and the future classic ‘New Day Coming’ which features vocals from the late great Bobby Womack, one of the last tracks that the soul singer recorded vocals for before his passing.
The sheer enormity of Rudimental’s sound is made for the live stage and sees the band break through the boundaries of audience and performer to come together as one exhilarated collective.
Their live achievements have seen the band headline three sold out shows at Brixton Academy, support Ed Sheeran on his US, UK and upcoming sold out Australian stadium tours and perform on the Pyramid Stage at the iconic Glastonbury Festival. After thrilling audiences with their live show at Future Music Festival, the band also performed their own Australian headline dates in 2013, collecting rave reviews along the way:
‘Rudimental are without doubt the band of the moment.’ – ToneDeaf
‘The term ‘genre-blenders’ is certainly the only way to describe this group and if you ever get a chance to see them live, we’re sure you’ll agree. Make sure you add Rudimental to your bucket list of must-see concerts – it’ll be one heck of a party.’ – MTV Australia
With five million singles sold and close to 300 million views on their YouTube channel, Rudimental are certainly ‘feeling the love’ and when they return to Australia this November and December it’s safe to say that audiences will too. Be quick to get your tickets to one of the feel-good tours of the summer season!
