Lonely Boys
DARWIN SHOW ONLY
Lonely Boys – a rock six-piece from Ngukurr in Arnhemland – will join QOTSA as the band’s special guest at their debut NT show. Ambrose Daniels, Winston Joshua, Thomas Wurramara, Burt Rami, Kasley Daniels and Leon Daniels have been making music together for almost 17 years, releasing new EP The Hunter (Skinnyfish Music) last week. Recorded with producer Forrester Savell (Birds Of Tokyo, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus) at Loose Stones studios on QLD’s Gold Coast, check out the making of The Hunter EP here.
Ecca Vandal
MELB & SYD SHOWS ONLY
Early last year saw the surprise release of Ecca Vandal’s debut EP, tilted ‘End Of Time’. The five-track effort is named after her 2015 single 'End of Time' and also features her fiery breakout number, 'Battle Royal'. Bucking trends has been par for the course for the South African/Sri Lankan heritage, Melbourne-based singer/producer/performer. She's effortlessly changed her musical stripes with each new release.
Eyes No Eyes
AUCKLAND SHOW ONLY
Eyes No Eyes is a recently formed four-piece based in Auckland that brings together members of a diverse range of musical projects including the likes of Wormstar, Trip Pony, Couchmaster, Bespin and The DHDFD's. Together they spin a sound reminiscent of the dreamy soundscapes of 90s shoegaze aristocracy such as Mazzy Star, My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. (via undertheradar.co.nz)
