Miranda Lambert announces Debut Australian headline dates in March 2020
Nov 01, 2019Multiple Grammy-winner MIRANDA LAMBERT reveals details of her anticipated debut Sydney and Melbourne concerts in March 2020. The US star will deliver her Wildcard Tour to all ages crowds at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday 24 March and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Thursday 26 March, following up her CMC Rocks QLD headlining appearance the weekend prior.
The most decorated artist in the history of the Academy of Country Music, Lambert has earned more than seventy-four prestigious awards and honours across her nearly twenty-year career, including thirty-four US Academy of Country Music Awards (nine of which were awarded for ACM Female Vocalist of the Year), thirteen Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, two Grammy Awards, Artist in Residence (Country Music Hall of Fame), and many more.
With a brand new album – Wildcard – released last week and already garnering rave reviews, Lambert is without doubt one of the hottest acts in country music.
“Wildcard is extroverted and energetic… Signature songs like “It All Comes Out In The Wash” and bad-girl riot “Too Pretty For Prison” affirm Lambert’s status as a charismatic Nashville firecracker with a knack for crafty wordplay.” – Riff Raff Magazine
“On ‘Wildcard,’ Miranda Lambert remains one of the most versatile forces in songwriting” – Uproxx Mag
Hit album singles, the anthemic ‘It All Comes Out In The Wash’ and ‘Tequila Does’, a “laid-back party song (that alternates) between acoustic-led verses and blues-infused, pedal steel-heavy choruses” (The Boot) are already making waves globally, and follow on from country radio staples like ‘Heart Like Mine’, ‘Over You’ and ‘The House That Built Me’, all of which are due to make an appearance in her first ever Australian shows.
A prolific singer-songwriter, Lambert has released six consecutive Billboard Country Album Chart No.1 records since 2005, from critically acclaimed double album The Weight of These Wings (2016) to Platinum (2014), Four The Record (2011), Revolution (2009), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2007) and Kerosene (2005). In addition, she released three albums with her trio, the Pistol Annies.
Known for her dynamic on-stage energy and infectious charisma, Lambert has an ability to connect to her audience like few others.
“Lambert has long been one of the surest bets on the live performance circuit… (she) remains a breath of fresh air...” – Mass Live
Returning to Australia by popular demand are US duo BROTHERS OSBORNE, who have continued an upward trajectory since their debut visit in 2018, cementing themselves as one of the most successful country acts in the world. With a brand new album Port Saint Joe and Top 40 single ‘I Don’t Remember Me (Before You)’, under their belt, plus a huge four 2019 CMA Award nominations, Brothers Osborne are one of the most exciting country duos around, and the perfect way to get the party started in March 2020.
Miranda Lambert has sold out arenas across North America, shared the stage with the likes of Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Toby Keith, and graced festival stages from Boots & Hearts to CMA Fest, Country Thunder Alberta, and more. She’ll be fresh from her sold out North American Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour, and gearing up to unleash her explosive live set on local audiences in March… and Brothers Osborne warming audiences, it’s gonna be one hell of a good time!
